Still going with the speed challenge series, The Clone Wars continue and this time I've given myself a new challenge to create a 'widescreen image' and get away from the standard format I'm comfortable with.
Also setting myself of at least three characters and a good background, I settled on doing Jek, Thire and Rys from 'Ambush'. Yoda has just pointed out that why they are smaller in number, compared to the Battle Droids they are greater in mind.
Done with wax pencils and built up in layers, utilising my pressure application and layering techniques, the picture consists of 24 colours.
Jek's helmet was done with white, cream, dark carmine, dark sepia, siena natur ochre, Venetian red, black, middle cadmium red, warm grey 2, warm grey 3, warm grey 4, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
His armour was done with white, cream, dark carmine, Venetian red, black, warm grey 2, warm grey 3, warm grey 4, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
His bandolier was done with white, brown ochre (dark), brown ochre (light), warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
Lieutenant Thire's helmet was done with white, dark carmine, brown ochre (dark), black, middle cadmium red, permanent green, warm grey 3, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
His armour was done with white, Payne' grey, Venetian red, black, middle cadmium red, warm grey 3, warm grey 4 and warm grey 5.
His pauldron was done with white, nougat, Payne's grey, brown ochre (dark), black, warm grey 2 and warm grey 6.
Rys' helmet was done with white, dark sepia, brown ochre (dark), siena natur ochre, black, middle cadmium red, warm grey 3, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
His armour was done with white, dark carmine, Payne's grey, brown ochre (dark), Venetian red, black, middle cadmium red, warm grey 3, warm grey 4, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
His BlasTech DC-15S blaster was done with white, Payne's grey, brown ochre (light), Venetian red, black, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
His backpack was done with white, brown ochre (dark), brown ochre (light), black, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.
The rocks were done with white, bistre, raw umber, Venetian red and warm grey 6.
The coral trees were done with white, dark flesh, light flesh, caput mortuum, bistre, brown ochre (dark), cinnamon, Venetian red, warm grey 2 and warm grey 6.
Finally, the sky was simply done in white.

Completion time: 15 hours 19 minutes
